Introducting our New Innkeepers!

We are extremely excited that our new Innkeepers Sue Dow and Eric Chaitin have started this week at the Kingsley House! Sue is an accomplished Chef, has written cookbooks and teaches cooking classes as well. Eric has been in the restaurant business for quite some time and also brings a wealth of culinary knowledge to the table. We certain that our guests are going to be very spoiled with the two of them at the helm. WELCOME to Sue and Eric!!

Bulb plants are all poking through at the Bed and Breakfast

After a good soaking rain today, it is especially more apparent that our bulb plants of tulips, daffodils and irises are all anxious to get this Spring season going. With the forecasted rains of this week, we are sure that they will continue their quest.

April Fools Day in Saugatuck Michigan

April Fools day is one of our favorite days of the year as it signifies so much in the Saugatuck Michigan area. Spring, Summer and Fall seasons are all now ahead of us when we get to see so many of our friends returning to the Inn.

Easter is one week away?

Can someone please tell mother nature that Easter is just one week away? Like much of the country, we have had snow once again this weekend. I think we’re all long overdue for Spring and it will be so very nice to see all of the bulb plants again this Spring!

Spring Specials Updates

We just updated some of our Spring specials on our various B&B websites online and are now gearing up for what we hope to be a fantastic Spring after a rather long winter in Michigan. Saint Patrick’s day generally marks a turning point when we know that Spring is (almost) here.

Tulip Time is closer than you think!

Mid March is always a good time of year for us to start thinking forward to the upcoming Spring season and all the promises of new life that it brings to us. One of these is the Holland Tulip Time Festival, just 15 minutes north of the Inn.

Spring Bed and Breakfast slide show

For anyone who may have been watching our website lately, you will notice a brighter and cheerier slideshow. With the melting snow and warmer days, it just seemed appropriate to roll out our Spring slideshow as well. Winter is (almost) over and we at Kingsley House are excited for the upcoming season when all of our friends return.

Spring Michigan Bed and Breakfast season

Yes, I realize we are still forecasted to be in the path of yet another winter storm heading up the plains as we speak. But gosh darn it, we can’t help to turn our thoughts towards Spring and the increased traffic it brings to our area. Especially now that March is actually just a few days away!

Michigan Winter Wonderland once again

It wasn’t all that long ago that the ground hog unofficially predicted that Spring would be coming soon. But someone forgot to tell mother nature apparently as we are once again set to receive more snowfall this weekend. Oh well, it truly is a magnificent winter wonderland in West Michigan this time of year.

Fickled winter weather

Anyone who lives in Michigan knows that our weather in the winter isn’t always the typical every day of the week. But this year, it seems that we have “seen it all”. Snow one day, rain and wind the next, sunshine and warmth, and back to snowy and icy conditions again the next. It certainly has been a fickled winter weather forecast this year to say the least.
