Here at the Inn our guests have been taking their time to enjoy the decorations in Saugatuck and Holland, reading books and most importantly taking time to enjoy being with each other.
It takes a village
Last night we had a “building a gingerbread house” class. The couples here built original, not the “cookie cutter” gingerbread houses. There was lots of fun, laugher and creativity was going on. We put the houses around the front table this morning and it was an amazing looking village. Watch for the next cooking classes that are coming up .
What smells???
They say that smell is one of the most memorable senses. Well those at the Inn today will tell you that they will remember this day for a long time. They woke up to the smell of hot coffee and crisp bacon this morning. Now we have moved on to gingerbread to use for our special this week end of making gingerbread houses. The smell of Christmas is in the air!

This morning I am trying something new here at the Inn. The owner, Dave, always made the most mouth watering “Tomato Cup”. But he made it inside of a biscuit. This moring I made this zesty morning treat wrapped in a crossiant. Wow, still just as favorful but…..dare I as….better? Come try it!
Christmas is a time for love
As the sun streams through the windows today the decorations at the Inn shine brighter then ever. The Inn is ready for Christmas. Are you? Make sure you take time to look at everything around you…esp. your special loved one.
In the still of the……morning?
Mornings at the Inn always start out quiet. What you usually wake up to is the smell of great coffee! This morning seems quiet, peaceful and lazy. The stillness of the fresh snow makes you know that winter’s cozyiness has come. And here at the Inn that means coffee, big breakfasts and relaxation before you start your day.

For some reason the first snow just makes everyone a little cheerier. Although it maybe a little harder to get around everyone has something to say about it and it gets people talking. Everyone at the Inn is happy the snow came because it makes things cozier and beauty of the Inn shines.

Almost a full house here today at the inn. Folks are taking a day or two before the big holiday to relax and enjoy some romantic time together. Although it is gray and raining outside there is a warm feeling inside this great old house.
Breakfast in Bed
One of the features here at the Inn is that you can have Breakfast in Bed. All you have to do is ask. What better way to begin a romantic day? Hot coffee and a great breakfast served to you without even having to get out of bed.

Today is a very bright and shiny day at the bed and breakfast Inn and across all of West Michigan . It almost doesn’t seem like an early winter day, except for the christmas decorations throughout the Inn.
